The Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) has initiated the application process for the 2022 recruitment of Grade II Police Constable, Grade II Jail Warder, and Fireman positions. Applications can be submitted online starting from 11 am on July 7, 2022, through the official website tnusrb.tn.gov.in. The deadline for application submission is August 15, 2022, and the written examination date will be announced later.
This recruitment drive aims to fill 3,552 vacancies across three positions. The distribution of openings includes 2,180 positions in the police department, 1,091 in the investigation department, 161 in the prison and prisons department, and 120 in the fire and rescue services department.
Reserved for special categories, 10 percent of the total positions are allocated for candidates in the sports category, 5 percent for veterans, and 3 percent for widows in need. Furthermore, 20 percent of the available positions will be reserved for individuals who studied Tamil as their primary language of instruction from Class 1 to 10.
Eligibility Criteria:
– Candidates should have completed at least Class 10.
– The age range for candidates is 18 to 26 years, with relaxation in the upper age limit for candidates from reserved categories.
The selection process includes a written test, physical measurement test, fitness test, fitness competitions, and special marks. To qualify, candidates must achieve a minimum score of 35 percent on the main written test.
